Garmisch
Garmisch

Garmisch is our first project for handspinners. This pattern features instructions on how to spin a self-striping yarn from painted roving that is suitable for a small project like this, and how to full a knitting project to achieve a denser, sturdier fabric. The easy knitting project is worked on straight #6 needles in separate pieces and features a crochet finish.

Guernsey Fest Pattern Collection

An update of our Guernsey-style twinset, this pattern collection contains 4 patterns for two sizes each (18-inch "American Girl" style dolls and 16 inch "Sasha" dolls). Thus, you can knit different 8 pieces, two sweaters, a sleeveless top, and a cardigan in two sizes each. Of course, with our suggested 100% wool yarns coming in 60 and 39 colors, there are 396 different sweaters you could knit. (Sorry, Iris is a scientist, she just HAD to do it). And as for all patterns, the rules are simple: You give $5.95 to SiriKind, SiriKind gives $5.95 to Room to Read.

Beach Party

A cool, complete summer outfit in 100% Bamboo yarn. The snug sundress can be worn over a bathing suit. It features a wavy lace pattern that complements the yarn's color effects. Changing is easy due to small button closures on the shoulders. The triangular shawl will come in handy when the evening breeze hits the beach! Earlier in the day, it does double duty as a fetching beach pareo. Flip flops and a market bag that holds your dolls necessities complete the set.

Autumn Heather
Autumn Heather

This medium-weight all over cable sweater is a great first cable project before embarking on a "people-size" sweater. Workshop leaders sometimes use these miniatures to teach techniques. Why not learn how to knit cables while at the same time making a great sweater for a little doll! Sleeves are picked up and knit towards the cuff. A generous boat neck makes changing easy.

Bar Harbor
Bar Harbor

A richly detailed fair-isle sweater. Bar Harbor is knit in the round in little fair-isle patterns. Armholes are steeked, and the pattern provides detailed instructions on how to knit, secure, and open steeks. We use hand-sewing to secure steeks, because we know how safely it protects against unraveling. We also know that not all knitters necessarily have a sewing machine. However, if you are an experienced fair-isle knitter, feel free to use your own technique. Besides providing a lovely new outfit for an 18-inch doll, this kit is also an ideal first fair-isle project that should enable you to embark on a "people-size" sweater next.

City Day
City Day

Self-striping cardigan and matching sleeveless top. At SiriKind, we make one exception to our "natural only" rule, and that is the use of variegated sock yarns, which are typically a blend of 75% wool and 25% Polyamide or Nylon. We do this because the variety of sock yarns currently available is a great source to design doll knitwear and we want to show you a few examples. Cardigan is worked in one piece from side to side, with only two seams to close.

"Make Your Own"
"Make Your Own"

Simplest garter stitch sweater for beginning knitters of all ages. Our simplest sweater is ideal for the beginning knitter, and for teaching your child how to knit his or her own doll sweater. Our little bonus-feature idea: The kit contains a generous amount of contrast-color yarn for two “swatches” that can become washcloths or little area rugs for the doll’s living space. This allows your child to practice the knit stitch long enough to get over the phase of mistakes and dropped and uneven stitches before he or she starts with the sweater.
